Luz Robles is YOUR candidate for the Utah State Senate. Luz wants to put her education, experience and energy to work for the residents of Senate District #1. As your State Senator, she will work to address the problems facing you and your family. She has a demonstrated commitment to social justice and equality.
Luz will work to bring sensible solutions to the day-to-day challenges facing families and neighborhoods. She will work for better schools and educational opportunity for all children, effective public safety programs, and an expansion of health care for all children and the uninsured.

Luz has worked to improve our public schools. She is an energetic and effective spokesperson for our children and our schools. Most recently, she joined in the effort to defeat the damaging “school voucher” law.
Pat Rusk, Executive Director of “Utahns for Public Schools”, and former President of the UEA, calls Luz Robles a "winner" when it comes to sticking up for Utah schools.
Luz has been a successful proponent of victim's rights. As the State Diversity Coordinator on the “Utah Domestic Violence Council”, she assisted developing and implementing improved programs to assist all victims of domestic violence.
Luz has worked as a Health Policy Analyst for “Utah Issues”. She lobbied State legislators and other decision makers dealing with issues on behalf of low income and the ethnic communities.

Luz currently sits on the Advisory Board of the University of Utah College of Social and Behavioral Science. In addition, she serves on the Boards of: Valley Mental Health; Regence Caring Foundation; Utah Health Policy and Project; and the Autism Council of Utah. She is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee and the Ethnic Health Advisory Committee of the Utah State Department of Health.

Luz Robles earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Utah in Business Marketing. She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration, also from the University of Utah. In 2005. Luz was selected to be part of the first National Women Law Center Leadership Co-Hort where she has acquired skills on leadership and advocacy. She also serves as an Honorary Commander for Hill Air Force Base.

Luz Robles is the new director for Zion's Bank Business Resource Center, where she focuses on assisting new business ventures as well as established businesses seeking to achieve maximum growth potential

The Robles family lives in the Westpointe area with her husband, Jorge, and their daughter Aileen.
